[Review] Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus Episode 6

Wow, they’re really making up for the manga deviations they made. A lot of the shots are pretty parallel!

Notes:

1. This article comes from the perspective of someone who has read the manga.

2. That being said, this is the only adaptation of Kuroshitsuji I watched aside from the first few episodes of season 1. I have no idea what the fuck happened in the latter part of that season, and the entirety of season 2.

3. A spoiler among non-spoiler shit is like this for a reason. If you don’t want to be spoiled, do not highlight that shit. And it’s readable even without the highlighting so don’t try too hard if you don’t want to be spoiled.

Warnings:

Spoiler warnings apply. Spoilers on the episodes themselves will not be formatted as noted above. What will be formatted as such would be comments and references to future plot events as it happened in the manga.

[Review] Tokyo Ghoul Episode 5

Firstly, I WANT TO THANK THE ANIME CREATORS FOR THIS EPISODE

Secondly, this took a while because school just started and enrollment period in my school is like the tenth circle of hell or something. In any case, here it is! Right before the next episode (again). It’s pretty short because I’ve discussed most things in my previous review 😛

Notes:

1. This article comes from the perspective of someone who has read the manga.

2. I wouldn’t be critiquing the plot as much as I am going to comment on its progression.

3. Blue text usually indicates a topic change within a section.

4. Gray text, sometimes labeled as run-on note, are basically that–a no-punctuation ramble about whatever.

5. A spoiler among non-spoiler shit is like this for a reason.

6. If it wasn’t obvious from before, the manga scans I put up are butchered to fit what I’m trying to say. Everything is credited at the beginning though.

Warnings:

No spoiler warnings this time because they made up for everything they didn’t include the last time. Okay, there is a bit of a spoiler at the end but I noted it so you can avoid it if you don’t give in to temptation.

Gore and violence abound despite the stupid censorship though, so stay safe. Continue reading

[Review] DRAMAtical Murder Anime Episodes 1-3

I just… wow. How much money did they not spend on this thing because I swear it seems like they spent absolutely nothing on it and they just shitted it out and gave it to the networks to broadcast as is.

Notes:

1. I played the game, alright? I like it enough to rant about this. There’s a bad anime adaptation, and then there’s this piece of shit.

2. I gave it a chance. I did. I dragged–goddamn crawled–my way through episodes 1 and 2. For episode 3, I just kind of clicked on random parts, watched as much as I could, then turned VLC off and deleted every trace of it from my laptop.

3. This is not a review for the game. If it was, then it’ll probably end up looking like it’s the best BL visual novel ever because I’m comparing it to its failed, twice-fucked-over, animated self.

Warnings:

1. Spoilers. Just a bit though? I think. They’re not making it difficult to guess what’s in store anyway.

2. This is basically me bitching about the anime so be warned. If you liked it, alright. I still don’t like it so you’re probably reading the wrong review.

3. Will contain comparisons between the game and the anime (up to episode 3).

4. Idk if this is a warning or a note, but there would probably be screencaps of some of the CGs in the game. So if you want the first time you’ll be seeing them to be when you play the game, then don’t look. None of the BL CGs, though.

5. The details of the anime would get foggier and foggier the further I go into the storyline because I barely watched episode 3 after that face Aoba made (I think you know which one I’m referring to. There’s a screencap of it down there if you don’t). Also, my transition from topic to topic, much like the anime, seems rather wonky. Sorry about that.

[Review] Tokyo Ghoul Episode 4

WOW THEY DID IT. THEY ACTUALLY SKIPPED AMON VS KANEKI I AM SO SAD

This took soooo long because it’s also soooo long.

Notes:

Warnings:

Spoiler warnings apply because I’m going to talk about some deviations from the manga, and if the anime is planning on going for those events despite the changes, then spoilers. I might also end up talking about how the changes can possibly affect future events, so more spoilers. If the anime does not go for the events in the manga, then they’re nothing more than comparisons.

There will be gore and violence, so keep safe friends.

Aside from that, I don’t think there are any? Since most things that happen in this episode are introductory stuff.  I have things to say about that guy at the end though, but I put a warning beforehand so you can remain spoiler free if you’re not up for it. Continue reading

[Review] Tokyo Ghoul Episode 2

EPISODE 2! Welp, that OP song did nothing good for my heart because of 2 split-second clips and that djkhfvnljhdfvbadvfbdhj end.

[Review] Tokyo Ghoul Episode 1

It wasn’t long ago when I began reading Tokyo Ghoul. It was around two to three weeks ago to be exact, and hohoho! Just in time for the anime, too!
