[Review] Tokyo Ghoul Episode 10

This episode serves as a prologue for the Aogiri Arc

Notes:

1. This article comes from the perspective of someone who has read the manga.

2. I wouldn’t be critiquing the plot as much as I am going to comment on its progression.

3. Blue text usually indicates a topic change within a section.

4. Gray text, sometimes labeled as run-on note, are basically that–a no-punctuation ramble about whatever.

5. A spoiler among non-spoiler shit is like this for a reason. Don’t try too hard to read it if you don’t want to be spoiled.

6. If it wasn’t obvious from before, the manga scans I put up are butchered to fit what I’m trying to say. Everything is credited at the beginning though.

Warnings:

Violence. Violence everywhere.

[Review] Tokyo Ghoul Episode 9

Holy shit this episode. Nothing much happens BUT A LOT HAPPENS AND THEY’RE VERY EASY TO MISS

A lot of new characters and I just want to cry at the sight of some of them, especially this guy

CRYING LORD WHY

Yes, him. Actually, all of them.

Notes:

1. This article comes from the perspective of someone who has read the manga.

2. I wouldn’t be critiquing the plot as much as I am going to comment on its progression.

3. Blue text usually indicates a topic change within a section.

6. If it wasn’t obvious from before, the manga scans I put up are butchered to fit what I’m trying to say. Everything is credited at the beginning though.

Warnings:

Nothing much here, I think.

[Review] Tokyo Ghoul Episode 8

This has been sitting in the drafts since the episode came out, but I’ve never gotten around to finishing it because school came and gave me a diarrhea of schoolwork I had to unload and clean up.

In any case, since the episodes came out, I probably won’t be making much predictions (and I won’t even go to TG:re and Root A). It should be noted that as I’m writing the review for each episode I have not watched the episodes that came after save for the first episode of Root A because yeah I’ve read the manga and I just want to know if the deviation looked good… yeeeah, we’ll get to that after I finish season 1’s episodes 8 – 12.

Notes:

Everything is credited at the beginning.

Warnings:

No spoiler warnings this time because it’s been a while since everything was released.

Gore and violence abound, especially since I’m using the bluray releases so yaaay no more censorship! But stay safe.

[Review] Tokyo Ghoul Episode 7

That… was actually a pretty good episode. I’m more worried about how much longer the anime will go on for, though.

Notes:

Warnings:

This time around, I’ll be discussing manga deviations as they go, since the changes are mostly on how the events occurred. Spoilers will be dealt with according to note #5.

No major spoiler warnings this time because I already did the spoilers for this in previous reviews. At most, you’ll have to deal with note #5 for spoilers.

Mentions and images depicting gore and violence to follow, so stay safe.

[Review] Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus Episodes 4 and 5

SO IT BEGINS.

Notes:

1. This article comes from the perspective of someone who has read the manga.

2. That being said, this is the only adaptation of Kuroshitsuji I watched aside from the first few episodes of season 1. I have no idea what the fuck happened in the latter part of that season, and the entirety of season 2.

3. A spoiler among non-spoiler shit is like this for a reason. If you don’t want to be spoiled, do not highlight that shit. And it’s readable even without the highlighting so don’t try too hard if you don’t want to be spoiled.

Warnings:

Spoiler warnings apply. Spoilers on the episodes themselves will not be formatted as noted above. What will be formatted as such would be comments and references to future plot events as it happened in the manga.

[Review] Tokyo Ghoul Episode 6

BEING AN IDIOT PAID OFF BECAUSE I CAN SMELL MY KANEKI VS AMON

Notes:

1. This article comes from the perspective of someone who has read the manga.

2. I wouldn’t be critiquing the plot as much as I am going to comment on its progression.

3. Blue text usually indicates a topic change within a section.

Warnings:

No major spoiler warnings this time because I already did the spoilers for this in previous reviews. At most, you’ll have to deal with note #5 for spoilers. For not-formatted spoilers, there’s the usual spoiler warning before the block of text for you to avoid.

Again, mentions and screencaps of gore and violence despite the stupid censorship, so stay safe.

[Review] Tokyo Ghoul Episode 5

Firstly, I WANT TO THANK THE ANIME CREATORS FOR THIS EPISODE

Secondly, this took a while because school just started and enrollment period in my school is like the tenth circle of hell or something. In any case, here it is! Right before the next episode (again). It’s pretty short because I’ve discussed most things in my previous review 😛

Notes:

6. If it wasn’t obvious from before, the manga scans I put up are butchered to fit what I’m trying to say. Everything is credited at the beginning though.

Warnings:

No spoiler warnings this time because they made up for everything they didn’t include the last time. Okay, there is a bit of a spoiler at the end but I noted it so you can avoid it if you don’t give in to temptation.

Gore and violence abound despite the stupid censorship though, so stay safe. Continue reading
